TN HIMSS Cybersecurity Breakfast Pt.2 OCT 24

by / Tuesday, 12 September 2017 / Published in Education, Events

This is a two-part cybersecurity series that provides an applied look at the risks posed to healthcare organizations by cyber threats. In our initial presentation, our esteemed panel will focus on pre-breach through early mitigation, including how events are detected, threat information is shared, intrusions are isolated, and downtime is minimized.

Code Talkers And Cyber Security – What Do They Have in Common?

During WWII the U.S. military made extensive use of hundreds of Native American “codetalkers” to relay op orders with a level of security that could not be deciphered. We currently spend millions of dollars on cyber security systems and protocols but perhaps it’s the basics of a fundamental core language implemented into all we do that could create real security and save money. Join us on Tuesday, October 24th as a panel of industry-leading security experts share their experiences in the most common breaches, why they are occurring, the costs involved and best efforts to mitigate.
